At its opening the area is the largest continous space in Germany illuminated by LED. An extremely energy saving technology that offters precise options of design. The lighting sheme is related to lighting condition in nature reproducing lighting levels of a full moon night. It allows the eye to adapt and uses the fundamental of human perception to guide through the park. Only intersections and areas of high importance raise the lighting level.
