St. Mary’s Church in Lübeck has the highest brick vault in the world, measuring over 38 metres. The indirect lighting in the vault emphasises the clear Gothic architecture.
The Briefkapelle is the first completed area. Smaller church services and concerts take place here. Direct and indirect light from different heights gives the room a feeling of spaciousness and cosiness. The ceiling floodlights emphasise the height of the vault. For the central area, we designed filigree circular chandeliers, which are mounted at a distance from the two columns and cast sufficient direct light downwards. The listed wall lights were fitted with LED boards, which were precisely matched to the colour temperature and brightness in the Briefkapelle. Flexible lighting control enables different scenarios to be created to suit the respective uses.
