Exhibition opening “Lieblingslicht”
Dear friends and everyone interested, we invite you to the
opening of the exhibition “Lieblingslicht” (Favourite Light)
with a walk to the Katharinenfleet on Monday,
31 March at 6 p.m.
Rathausstraße 7, 20495 Hamburg.
Light does not only create atmosphere, it also changes perspectives. That was the experience of 22 pupils from Osdorfer Born during a four-day photography workshop across Hamburg’s city centre. The result is a series of finely observed images, some experimental, some autobiographical.
The opening begins with a short talk by Ulrike Brandi: “Favourite light in the city centre – a good atmosphere creates safety” at Rathausstraße 7. The lighting walk that follows ends at the Katharinenfleet, where we will open the exhibition “Lieblingslicht”.
The exhibition in the windows along the Katharinenfleet (shop 4, Reimerstwiete 3, AIT ArchitekturSalon, Ulrike Brandi Licht, Bei den Mühren 88) can be seen from outside around the clock and runs from 1 to 11 April.
“Lieblingslicht” is one of the pilot projects in “Verborgene Potenziale Innenstadt” (Hidden Potential of the City Centre), which the Hamburg Ministry for Urban Development and Housing is carrying out together with external partners.
