Wasserwerk Hamburg-Wilhelmsburg

The industrial monument got a new use in the course of the igs 2013. The waterworks consists of two areas, the machine hall and the atomization building. The large room of the former machine hall is now a restaurant. The general lighting of suspended spotlights and directional light creates a uniform illumination. Additional light on the ceiling emphasizes the proportions of the room. The exhibition rooms in the adjoining building are provided with their own lighting level. Suspended tracks offer space for wallwashers and spotlights. Light from the drainage slots emphasizes the former function. After dark, the illuminated waterworks is a landmark at the International Garden Exhibition.
