Design Engineering – sustainable and holistic

In spring 2022 the book design engineering – sustainable and holistic by Prof. Dr. Marina-Elena Wachs. Marina Wachs is professor of design theory at the Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences in the Department of Textile Technology. In the book, she develops strategies for arriving at more sustainable products and thinking models via new design processes. The book shows the interdisciplinary approach particularly vividly because Marina Wachs introduces students and designers from very different fields.
We are pleased to be part of it. It is particularly nice that Theresa Scholl, who combined textile design and lighting design with us as an intern, is featured in the book with our “Festland” project. In an unusual residential project, Theresa Scholl developed various technically sophisticated sun protection elements that filter daylight in a beautiful way, creating a fresh and homely atmosphere.
